A very nice start to our NCAA football campaign.  A quick note.  For those of  you who do not wish to follow teams from the first or second half OR if you're a client from europe and you can't stay up to play the 2nd half's you will be just fine playing the first half only as the win % should be in the 60's so feel free just to follow the first half labourchere.

Ok, at last check Oakland was a nice winner for us.   Honestly, I hate all the matchups this week so far with the exception of our winner monday.  St Louis looks obvious but I can't bet against Happ the way he's been pitching as of late so I think the best thing we can do is pass this whole group of garbage and just pick it up on Friday.  I just don't feel real good about any of these matchups

Oakland -1.5 +105......Cahill has been a very very steady performer all year with an ERA UNDER 3.00 and in the American League that actually means something.  With injuries and trades a very depleated Royals team comes to town and Bannister has a very unrespectable 1.88 WHIP in his last 3 and I don't expect the road to cure his issues which makes Oakland a good value getting + money on the runline

St. Louis -1.5 -150......Adam Wainright has been probably one of the most effective pitchers in the league over the past 2 seasons.   In addition to the fact that he's 10-0 at home, 7-0 during the day but his last start he was completely lit up on the road.  Most times when he has a BAD outing he follows it with a shutout so as much as i feel -1.5 AND -150 is a big price to pay....this should be a big mismatch so I'll take that chance.

NY Mets -145....Dickey has had a solid few months and as you could see yesterday, the back end of the St. louis bullpen is suspect at best.  With Hawksworth on the hill sporting a 2+ WHIP it's a near certainty that the Mets get into the soft Cardinal bullpen which at the price makes them a very good value in my eyes.

If I had a nickel for every time I saw a -300 fav go down I'd be rich....A typical shitty end to the week before the all star break but you know what...we've had a real solid first half and are certainly in position to make MLB 2010 a solid 75-90 unit venture!
 
Yes I think Texas will win on Sunday but me personally.....I'm not going down that road.    I'm going to make a small round robin playing every team that's trying to avoid being swept if there is at least 4 of them and maybe hit something big.....otherwise I'm packing it in until they start playing again.
